PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

Spend your summer in London and earn six credits! The ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏin London program is a four-week immersion experience in London, England during the Summer B term. 

Join Dr. Benjamin Scott Young for his Honors course, London Walk: Explorations of Time and Place. The city of London itself will be your classroom, as you explore the culture, history, theater, art, food, gardens, and markets of this storied global metropolis, all while discovering what London can teach about cultivating subjective well-being for yourself and others.

Destinations include a performance a Shakespeare's Globe Theater, British Museum, Tate Modern, Regent's Park, Trafalgar Square, Royal Observatory, and much more. You'll also have an opportunity to work with other Honors students on the program lead an excursion to a destination of your choice. 

Students will reside at the center of one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. In addition to class excursions, you'll have ample time to explore on your own outside of class. The program includes a two-day London pass that gives you no-additional-cost entrance to landmarks such as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle, The King's Gallery of Buckingham Palace, Brit Music Tours, and over 90 other destinations. Students will even get to partake of a customary British tea while cruising on the famed River Thames! 

In addition to enrolling in one of two possible sections of the Honors course (IDH4950), participating students will also take one other course of their choice taught by a ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏfaculty member. For a full list of these courses, .

Honors students of any major looking to soak up the rich history and diverse tapestry of global culture that is the living city of London have the opportunity for making memories of a lifetime on this transformational journey.

PROGRAM ACCESSIBILITY

This program involves significant walking in urban terrain. More broadly, England has many unevenly paved sidewalks and hills.
