Manisha Joshi, PhD MSPH MSW - Director
Dr. Manisha Joshi, Associate Professor of Social Work in College of Behavioral and Community Sciences at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ (USF), has a PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Social Policy & Practice, MS in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and an MSW from the University of Delhi, India. She holds a joint appointment in the College of Public Health at USF. Her interests include gender-based violence around the globe, intimate partner violence experiences of immigrant women in the U.S., violence prevention programs, strategies, and policies.
Guitele J. Rahill, PhD LCSW - Associate Director
Dr. Guitele Rahill is Associate Professor of Social Work in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ (USF), Senior Research Scientist in the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏCollege of Public Health Harrell Center, and Co-founder of SWIRL. She received her Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Florida International University, where she was a Presidential Fellow. Her interests include syndemic interactions among traditional norms, health beliefs and practices, biopsychosocial conditions, geographical disasters, and structural violence, as they affect violence, psychological trauma, family system disruption.
