Lecture Series
One of the cornerstones of our program, the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏSchool of Architecture & Community Design's Lecture Series introduces students and the Tampa Bay community to a diverse range of ideas and global perspectives. All lectures are free and open to students and the general public.
The ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is an affirmative action/equal access/equal opportunity institution. Please notify the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏCollege of The Arts Box Office at (813) 974-2323, at least five working days prior to the event, if a reasonable accommodation of a disability is needed.

Contextual Architecture - TACO
Friday, Setember 20, 2024
6:00 - 7:00 pm CIS 1048
TACO advocates a return to the fundamental principles of architecture that prioritize
the relationship between users, places, and contemporary needs. A detailed understanding
of contextual factors—such as environmental conditions, cultural influences, and historical
relevance—can lead to more effective and responsive architectural solutions. These
contextual factors impact occupant well-being as well as the safety and functionality
of built environments.
