The purpose of the Black Student Union is to promote racial/ethnic interaction between
and among the different ethnic groups at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ. Through
promoting relations between Black students and other students by providing cultural
and social forums and activities, we hope to improve the relations between the different
ethnic groups by knocking down the wall of ignorance and building a bridge of understanding.

This organization strives to provide underrepresented black women with the skills,
knowledge and experiences to professional participation in health care fields. We
strive to uplift the lives of women in the black community who aspire to obtain an
occupation in medicine. Through volunteer, unity, mentorship and research we strive
to empower the minds of our future female providers. We plan to implement strategies
for our future female provider that will ensure that they are trailblazers in the
healthcare field.

Motivating Black Students into Medicine's goal is to encourage middle and high school
students to pursue careers related to health care. MBSM aims to include participating
in community outreach, attendance of guest speakers, group study sessions, and application
preparation for black pre-professionals. Our ultimate goal is to increase the number
of black students entering health professions so that the gap between black patients
and doctors is minimized.

Our Mission: To increase the number of culturally responsible engineers who excel
academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

To provide academic and social support to minority graduate students, promote and
encourage interest in graduate education amongst the undergraduate population, give
minority graduate students the opportunity to fellowship and bond through social outings
and activities, and contribute to the enhancement of the cultural experience in the
ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏcommunity.

Since 1969, the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. has been the leader
in expanding the influence of minority professionals in the fields of accounting and
finance. The goals of the Association include, but are not limited to, the following:
-To promote and develop the professional skills of our members; -To encourage and
assist minority students in entering the accounting profession; -To provide opportunities
for members to fulfill their civic responsibility; -To ensure long-term financial
stability and provide adequate resources to implement chapter, regional, and national
programs; and -To represent the interests of current and prospective minority accounting
professionals.

B.U.l is an organization that aims to create a close knit environment for Bahamians
abroad while positively impacting the Tampa Bay community.

ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ and the local community.

The purpose of Club Creole is to dispel the negative stereotypes and myths about Haiti
and its people and to promote our culture at ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏand the Tampa Bay community at large.

Fanm Kreyol Inc. was founded to promote the empowerment of Haitian women. Our focus
is to create a positive movement through education, community service, and workshops.
Fanm Kreyol's purpose is to instill unity within women of Haitian descent. This is
to help promote more women as leaders and role models to the younger generation and
peers within ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏand the community. Members will gain leadership experience and gain
a sisterhood within the organization while networking with members of other student
organizations and business leaders of the community.

and communities.

The mission of the NAACP Chapter at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is to insure the
political, educational, social, economic and multicultural interest of all students
regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion and or disabilities.

The purpose and goals of this student organization is to:
Empower, advocate for, and support individuals of color who identify as: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and/or Queer. QTPOCC accomplishes this through creating a safe space for cultivating alliances, leadership, and educational/ networking opportunities.
Provide a network of support to allow all students, particularly those of color to participate, integrate, live openly, and meet others like themselves at ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏand in the surrounding community without fear of harassment and/or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity/expression.
Raise support, awareness, and education around the cultural and societal issues our community faces in regards to sexual orientation, gender expression and the intersectionality of identities. Implementation of such includes but is not limited to providing resources, connections, panels, workshops, advocacy, and social events.
Give individuals the opportunity to interact in an open and accepting atmosphere within the organization, and to facilitate and encourage interaction within ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏand surrounding communities.

To educate and promote acceptance of the Jamaican/Jamaican-American culture to the
students, faculty and staff at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ and in the local Tampa
community. We aim to promote an environment conducive to multi-cultural awareness
and acceptance of the Jamaican/Jamaican-American culture through community service,
social events, educational forums and the association of people.
