Research into AI and its effects on society are being studied in the Tampa Bay area. At the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ there is the Institute for Artificial Intelligence + X, which is a university-wide research and education center for AI. Professors there are researching AI and working with local leaders in healthcare, finance, biology, and transportation.

On track to complete a 100-day mission, ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏAssociate Professor Joseph Dituri has broken the world record for living underwater, previously set at 73 days. While teaching his students online, Dituri, also known as Dr. Deep Sea, is studying how the human body responds to long-term exposure to pressure from an underwater habitat located at Jules’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo where he’s been living since March 1.
