The Department of Computer Science and Engineering received a three-year, $579,737 grant from the Center for Inclusive Computing at Northeastern University for funding evidence-based approaches to attract and retain more women computer science, information technology, and cybersecurity students.

Թϱresearchers use 3D technology to preserve the history of Tampa Bay’s civil rights era
A Թϱresearcher is partnering with the Florida Holocaust Museum to digitize several artifacts from its exhibit, “Beaches, Benches and Boycotts,” which highlights Tampa Bay’s troubled civil rights history. Online audiences will be able to interact virtually with the objects and learn about the region's racial and social disparities from the 1950s and 1960s.

Թϱstudents enrolled in the Florida Focus broadcast news class hoped to spend this fall producing daily news segments in the university’s on-campus studio, but COVID-19 changed those plans. Instead, they’ve been reporting from makeshift mini studios in their homes as they prepare to enter the workforce.
