ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏhas played to have a central role in ensuring future generations know that civil rights story of the sit-ins that desegregated Tampa lunch counters in the 1960s, doing so through a historic marker, books and now a play and documentary.

National Gallery of Art acquires limited edition prints from USF’s Graphicstudio
The National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. has announced it will archive 16 prints published recently by the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏInstitute for Research in Art’s Graphicstudio. This marks another chapter in a decades-long relationship between the two institutions, celebrating Graphicstudio’s pioneering role in the intersection of art and education.

Remembering USF’s fourth president, Francis Borkowski
Borkowski served as president from 1988 to 1993. During his tenure, USF’s enrollment increased from 30,000 to more than 34,000, research grants increased from $37 million to $60 million and the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏFoundation’s endowment grew from $21 million to $61 million.

ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏonline graduate programs continue to rank among the nation’s best
Several of the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s online graduate programs remain among the top in the country, according to the 2025 Best Online Graduate Programs rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. USF’s highest-ranked program is inside the Top 20 among all public and private universities and another program improved by 24 places to break into the Top 50.

ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏmemorializes former President Jimmy Carter with 3D virtual tour of boyhood farm
Prior to his death, USF’s Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Information partnered with President Jimmy Carter and the National Park Service to create virtual tours of his boyhood farm, high school he attended and railroad depot that served as campaign headquarters for Carter’s successful 1976 presidential bid. ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏgraduates celebrate unwavering support, resiliency during fall commencement
Nearly 4,000 degrees were conferred during this fall’s commencement. The group, which represented 93 countries, 42 states and 11 U.S. territories, included 47 undergraduate students earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average and 107 military veterans. All now share a common theme – they are ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏalumni.

Levi Thompson has been named as the new dean of theÌýCollege of Engineering. Thompson is a highly accomplished researcher who brings strong leadership and administrative experience, including most recently serving as the College of Engineering dean at the University of Delaware and previously as a faculty member at the University of Michigan.Ìý
