ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏremains among the state’s top performers

Dear ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏcommunity,

I am pleased to share that the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is once again among the top institutions in the State University System’s (SUS) performance-based funding (PBF) model, which measures universities on a series of student success-based metrics. As confirmed at today’s Florida Board of Governors meeting, this year ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏplaced third in the SUS, and we are the only state university to finish in the top four every year since PBF was implemented in 2014.

Because the legislature and governor approved an $85 million increase in the PBF budget this year, our position in the standings will result in an allocation of more than $50 million to USF, an increase of nearly $15 million from last year.

These additional financial resources will be instrumental in supporting our students, faculty, staff and programs. More information about the metrics and our performance is available here.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to all of you for your significant contributions that helped make this accomplishment possible. Through your collective efforts and our shared pursuit of excellence, we will continue to celebrate achievements such as this one and our recent invitation to join the prestigious Association of American Universities.

Sincerely,

Rhea F. Law
President
