The ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏPresidential Search Committee met for the first time on Sept. 15 at the USF St. Petersburg campus.

The ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Presidential Search Committee has met for the first time. It was an introductory meeting for the 15-member committee, which included an overview of the search process and an initial discussion with the search firm, SP&A Executive Search.  The meeting took place in the University Student Center Ballroom on the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏSt. Petersburg campus.

Led by Mike Griffin, vice chair of the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏBoard of Trustees, the search committee is a broadly representative group that includes faculty, student, alumni and community leader perspectives.  The committee’s role in the search process is to reach out to key stakeholder groups to define the position profile in alignment with USF’s mission and strategic aspirations; help market the position; and screen and interview the most qualified candidates, including providing opportunities for non-search committee members to interact with the finalists and provide feedback to the committee.  The committee will then recommend an unranked list of finalists for ultimate consideration by the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏBoard of Trustees.

All committee meetings are open to the public.  Future meeting information will be posted on the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏPresidential Search Committee website.
