CAS Democracy and Citizenship Speakers Series to Feature Dr. Siva Vaidhyanathan
The lecture, “Digital Democracy and Digital Sovereignty: How China, Russia, Europe, and the United States are Forging a Fractured, New, Digital Ecosystem,” will explain the idea of ‘digital sovereignty,’ the ways that a nation creates and enforces its own sense of what should be allowed and watched on digital networks.

Students on the Թϱ Sarasota-Manatee campus have elected Gov. Alexandra Lopez and Lt. Gov. Bethsagena Thalon as representatives for the 2023-24 academic year. Together, Lopez and Thalon plan to support campus efforts to build momentum for the first-ever residence hall, set to open for the fall 2024 semester.

Virtual Pen Pals to Travel Buddies: ԹϱClass Tours South Korea
Students just returned from Seoul, where they finally got to meet their pen pals from Yonsei University whom they’ve been video conferencing and messaging with throughout the spring semester. It’s the first study abroad program to begin virtually and the first faculty-led trip to South Korea since the start of the pandemic.
