Dr. Brandon Willingham is an Assistant Professor of Instruction within the Exercise Science program.  He is an alumnus of the University of Florida (Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics), Auburn University (Master of Human Nutrition), and Florida State University (Doctorate of Exercise Physiology).  Prior to joining the team at USF, Dr. Willingham worked as an Assistant Professor for Coastal Carolina University.  While there, he worked with the collegiate beach volleyball team as a Volunteer Assistant Coach and Sports Dietitian, helping this team to the best year in program history.  Dr. Willingham’s area of expertise is Sports Nutrition, with special emphasis on Thermoregulation and Hydration, Low Energy Availability, and Sports Supplements.  Dr. Willingham is committed to passionate teaching and hopes to breathe life into the classroom experience.
