College of Education alum receives AECT award for immersive virtual foreign language learning research

Saidah's research focused on using 3D virtual worlds in foreign language education, designing and developing a series of English lessons in these immersive spaces to overcome the persistent challenges of English language learning and improve language learning practices using engaging and intuitive learning approaches.

College of Education Assistant Professor Sara Smith, PhD, was named a 2022 recipient of the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏWomen in Leadership & Philanthropy’s Dr. Kathleen Moore Faculty Excellence Award, an annual award recognizing women faculty who demonstrate excellence through their research at the university.
