Dedicated to her role as director of a STEM schools project in Cairo, Egypt, Թϱgraduate student Sara Leikin had no intention of pursuing a doctoral degree. When she learned about USF’s Doctor of Education in Educational Program Development, she felt confident in her ability to continue her studies from a distance.

Lindsay Persohn, an assistant professor of Literacy Studies at the USF’s Sarasota-Manatee campus, launched “Classroom Caffeine,” a new podcast series that provides a space for education researchers to share their knowledge with those working in the field.

Education in Action virtual event explores digital equity during COVID-19

Hosted virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Education in Action event centered on the theme “Building Digital Equity in Today’s Schools,” and featured keynote speaker Kenneth Shelton, an education technology expert who has advocated for digital access initiatives in various State Departments of Education, Ministries of Education and nonprofit organizations.
