Last Thursday and Friday, the Office of Graduate Studies, the Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate, and the Graduate and Professional Student Council hosted the Annual Graduate Student Research Symposium in a hybrid fashion.
Tram Hoang Huyen Tran presented her research "Substance Use Among Methadone Patients in Vietnam: A Systematic Review" on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 3-4:30 p.m. Tram is a Behavioral and Community Sciences PhD candidate and a former Fulbright NIDA Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow (2017-2018). Her research areas include substance abuse disorders and mental illness in developing countries, especially on program evaluations, drug-related policies, peer-based support interventions, and women with substance use disorders.
"Presenting at the Annual Graduate Student Research Symposium 2022 was a wonderful experience for me because not only was I able to share my research work with other students and faculty, but I also learned about other students' research with a diversity of areas and topics," said Tran. "I feel fortunate to be a part of a community where students are passionate, dynamic, and committed to advancing knowledge in their fields."
