Jacquelyn (Jacquie) Burckley started the doctoral program in 2021 after completing her master's in criminology at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ. Her research primarily focuses on special populations including veterans and incarcerated women, aiming to assess the specific risk and protective factors these groups face. At present, she is involved with a program evaluation to reduce the recidivism of formerly incarcerated women; empirical work to analyze the perceptions of sex work and the experiences of sex workers in the age technology; empirical research to assess the needs of veterans with military sexual trauma and PTSD who are at risk for premature mortality; and theoretical work to test the role of perceived marginalization in a legal cynicism framework.
