Chelsea Zukowski is an adjunct professor in the Department of Journalism and Digital Communication at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ St. Petersburg. Primarily teaching Advanced Reporting, she has also taught Neighborhood News Bureau, Journalists in the Movies, Beginning Reporting, and graduate and undergraduate Media Ethics.
She earned a master’s degree in history from American Public University in 2020 and a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and media studies from ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏSt. Petersburg in 2014.
Chelsea is also a freelance journalist and editor whose coverage areas include Florida cultural and historical features, entertainment criticism, and the theme park and amusement industry.
Before returning to ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏas adjunct faculty, Chelsea worked as a staff reporter and copy editor at the Tampa Bay Times and then as a digital producer for 10 Tampa Bay-WTSP, the CBS affiliate station in St. Petersburg.
A native of the Tampa Bay area, Chelsea has been a professional journalist since college, where she worked as an editor for The Crow’s Nest student newspaper. Besides teaching, she is the faculty adviser for the paper.
