BIO

Dr. Michael Snipes is an Associate Instructor of Economics at ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏSarasota-Manatee, with a joint appointment in the College of Business. He received his MA (2004) and PhD (2008) from the University of Colorado – Boulder and his BA (2002) from the University of Texas – Austin. Prior to his arrival, Dr. Snipes taught at Eastern New Mexico University for several years. His current area of research interest is tourism and its effects on the economy, and has conducted research on family dynamics and the links between macro-economic fluctuations and suicide.
