ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏEmergency Management released their annual update to the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏHurricane Guide for the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏcommunity members are encouraged to review the guide and become prepared as we enter into Hurricane Season.
Highlighted changes in this year's update:
- FEMA guideance has changed where you are now expected to maintain a disaster supply kit that can last you for seven days. The previous standard was 72 hours.
- Hurricane Season has a new unoffical start date of May 15. The National Hurricane Center will begin issuing routine Atlantic tropical weather outlooks on May 15, rather than June 1.
- Updates to links and numbers for certain resources, primairly due to consolidation of USF's campuses.
